Access Control Installation in DC, Maryland & Virginia
Secure, VAT-invoiced storage for inventory, archives, office furniture, and equipment. Same-day pickup across Dubai.
Most Dubai businesses hit the same wall: office space is priced per square foot, but half of it is taken up by boxes nobody opens. SpaceVault gives you a proper off-site unit in Al Quoz: properly cooled, fire-protected, and invoiced monthly with full UAE VAT. If you’re sitting on stock that won’t fit in your office, archiving years of contracts, or moving furniture out during a fit-out, we’ve got the unit and the pricing to match.

Access Control Installation FAQ
How much does access control cost per door?
$1,500 to $3,500 per door for keycard systems. $2,000 to $4,500 per door for mobile credential systems. Final pricing depends on lock hardware type, reader model, wiring complexity, and building condition. We provide free on-site assessments with itemized quotes. Call +1 (202) 295-7180 to schedule yours.
How long does access control installation take?
One door takes half a day. A 10 to 20 door office typically requires three to five business days. Larger deployments with elevator access control and intercom systems are scoped during the site survey.
Can you install in older buildings without major construction?
Yes. We use surface-mount raceways and flexible conduit to route low voltage wiring without opening walls. Wireless lock options from Brivo and Schlage reduce wiring further. Our technicians work regularly in older buildings across K Street, Georgetown, Capitol Hill, Bethesda, and Arlington. All installations meet UL 294 and NFPA 101 standards.
What certifications should I look for in an installer?
Brivo or manufacturer-specific certification confirms platform training. BICSI certification ensures proper low voltage wiring and cable termination. A DCJS license is legally required for security work in Virginia. BytesNCables holds all three: Brivo, BICSI, and Verkada.
Can access control integrate with cameras and other systems?
Yes. We hold both Brivo and Verkada certifications. We integrate access control with security camera feeds, intrusion detection, elevator controls, parking gates, and fire alarm panels. A badge event can trigger a camera snapshot and log the entry simultaneously. Learn about our Verkada security camera installations.
What is the difference between keycard and mobile access?
Keycard systems use proximity cards or key fobs via Wiegand or OSDP protocols. Mobile systems use smartphone credentials via Bluetooth or NFC. Keycards cost less per door and suit high-traffic buildings. Mobile eliminates card printing and works well for co-working spaces with frequent tenant changes. Both log every entry.
